We are pleased to announce the 2010/2011 edition of the Laurea Magistralis in Economics (LMEC) at the University of Bologna, which we hope you can bring to the attention of talented and skilled students.
The LMEC is a two-year Master of Science, entirely taught in English, and is part of the Graduate Program provided by the Department of Economics. It offers an excellent opportunity for students seeking a solid preparation in economics with the aim of entering the job market as professional economists or continuing to a Ph.D. program. Students will be offered extensive and rigorous training in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Econometrics, as well as in several field courses.
They will be guided through the program under close supervision from senior and junior academics of international reputation who are full-time members of the Department of Economics at the University of Bologna. Scholarships are available and will be awarded on the basis of the admission ranking. Upon successful completion of the requirements for the LMEC, students interested in academia may be subsequently admitted to the Ph.D. Program in Economics offered by the Department of Economics..
The University of Bologna provides a lively and stimulating environment for study and research in one of Italy’s most attractive cities, well known for its high standard of living. Our Department, one of the leading research center in economics in Italy, offers weekly seminars in all the main fields, the opportunity to interact with a large number of short-term and long-term visitors, and many international workshops.
