Student or recent graduate with planning and Chinese language skills needed.
Johnson Fain is an architecture, planning and urban design firm near downtown Los Angeles with an ongoing body of urban planning and design work in various regions in China. We are seeking individuals with the skills to translate Simplified Mandarin (written and spoken) into English and vice versa, and who preferably are familiar with terms and principles of urban planning and architecture. They would work closely with the planning studio and staff, some of whom also have Chinese language skills. For individuals who are eligible to work for pay, we would offer temporary part-time employment; for those whose visa status does not permit them to work for pay, we would seek your advice as to any available mechanisms through the university that might give them credit for a professional internship. Interested parties should send a statement of interest and a resumé to me via e-mail at dalpaugh@johnsonfain.com.
If you have any questions, or any information that we should know about, please contact me directly at 323 224-6000.
Thanks so much!
