New Course for Spring Quarter
Disability Studies 102/Disability and Violence
Why are people with disabilities disproportionately victims of violence? What rights and resources are available for people who become injured, impaired, or sick as a consequence of violence or subordination? What role does race, gender, sexual orientation, and class play in the public’s understanding of disability and violence? Disability Studies 102 will explore these questions and consider possible coalition-based strategies for improving disability-consciousness across social movements.
