Yes, the rumors are true. You may only take ONE class in the premajor twice. Two times. Not three times. Just twice. You must pass the second time with a C or better. I know, it seems extreme, but the rule is in place to ensure that Economics is the major for you.
You are NOT able to repeat another course if you get less than a C. You are only able to repeat ONE of the premajor courses.
If you need to repeat the course for a third time OR repeat another course, you will not be eligible for the major. So remember, you only get one second chance.
(UCLA allows students 16 units of repeat credit in which your second grade replaces the first in your GPA only if you earn a C- or less, even though both grades will show up on your DPR. After 16 units grade-averaging takes place.)
